Device Status Extension is a software utility that enables
users that have access to shared printers view information and
manage print jobs using a web browser. On installation and
configuration of this software, the default information screens
provided by Windows is replaced with Canon device information
screens provided by Canon

Do use the latest driver version available, it will help you use
