ZyDAS ZD1202 b

ZyDAS 2nd generation 802.11b chip has an US patent pending multipath decoding technology. This innovative technology allows the receiver to realize the full advantage of CCK code even in the presence of severe multipath distortion. In the field test, ZD1202 is on the average 5dB better than current market solutions.
ZD1202 16.5 Mbps mode can be used to substitute the 11 Mbps mode of 802.11b without sacrificing its coverage area or transmission distance. This mode works seamlessly with other 802.11b products and will be turned on automatically when ZD1202 detects that it is talking to another ZD1202.
ZD1202 MAC strengths on the lower cost, higher security and more power saving. 802.11 MAC protocol is embedded in ZD1202 chip. No external memory is needed which can lower total BOM cost. For security, WPA is supported with hardware TKIP engine. No performance will be sacrificed to adopt WPA security.
ZD1202 provides an option to run 802.11 doze mode with 32.768K clock source. The power consumption of ZD1202 is less than 5 mA with this clock speed. This will have a better battery life time in mobile computing environments.

Do use the latest driver version available, it will help you use the facilities of your hardware easier and better. An old version can create hardware conflicts and errors in function. Try to stay updated with your drivers monthly or sometimes weekly. Chose wisely the specific drivers: motherboards driver, bios, graphic cards drivers, modem drivers and so on. Chose the right driver for your hardware and try to make backups of your system every time you want to make a change.
