Description:
Centericq 4.21.0 is conferencing software developed by Konstantin Klyagin.
Centericq is a text mode menu- and window-driven IM interface that supports the ICQ2000, Yahoo!, AIM, IRC, MSN, Gadu-Gadu and Jabber protocols. Actually, it was written since I didn't find any usable software of this kind that would suit me perfectly. Brief list of program's features follows.
Here are some key features of "Centericq":
ICQ, Yahoo!, AIM, IRC, MSN, Gadu-Gadu and Jabber are supported

Configurable sounds for specific events and users
External programs to process incoming events
Viewing users' personal data
Updating self user info
List of ignored users
Configurable servers' hostnames and port numbers
Ability to use http proxy (method CONNECT; optionally with proxy auth) to connect to IM servers
ICQ support:

The friendly and active users community at the centericq.de fan-club site
What's New in This Release:
AIM changed its protocol again, so all TOC clients did not work. This release fixes the inability to connect to the AIM network.
Some Jabber bugs were fixed. PGP works better, and it's also possible to connect to Google Talk. Ian Johannesen sent the patch for the latter.
Chat window cycling patch from Iulian Ciorascu was applied. Don't forget to update your keybindings file if you want to use it. Simply add the following two lines to it:
----
bind editor cn next_chat
bind editor cb prev_chat
----
Applied two patches from David Riebenbauer. One makes centericq change Jabber status to unavailable before disconnecting, and adds coloring of contacts according to the procotol (configurable from the configuration dialog).
Since autoconf/automake authors finally started to maintain backward compatibility, I've updated the cicqsync so that it uses the current versions of the tools. The reason is that running specific versions for better compatibility doesn't work anymore
Centericq 4.21.0 supports english interface languages and works with Linux.
Downloading Centericq 4.21.0 will take minute if you use fast ADSL connection.
