Pyhoo is a Python tool that converts Yahoo IM logs in .dat
files into plain text.
Invocation: pyhoo.py [options]
Options [all options are optional]:
-i < dir > : The input file directory containing the
archives. On a typical Windows installation, the expected directory
would be C:Program FilesYahoo!MessengerProfiles
-o < dir > : Directory where the results are placed. The
default is "./decoded_archives"
-s < date > : Decode only messages after the start date.
The date is specified in the format YYYY/MM/DD@HH:MM:SS. All parts
of the date are optional except the year
-e < date > : Decode only message before the start date.
Date is in the same format as for the start date
-l < user_name > : Decode only messages for local user (a
user on this machine)
-r < user_name > : Decode only messages for remote user
(a user on the other machine)
