ChomboVis 4.16.9 is visualization software developed by ChomboVis Development Team.
ChomboVis is a program for visualization of 3D and 2D AMR data sets.
ChomboVis is provided as a full open-source distribution and may be modified and redistributed for non-commercial uses, provided the copyright notice is left in place in the source code.
We encourage contributions and extensions from the scientific community and will endeavor to extend the tools capabilities ourselves into the future.
ChomboVis was a joint effort of the Applied Numerical Algorithms Group and of the Visualization Group at LBNL.
Requirements:
HDF5 1.6.1 - used by Chombo to write data and by ChomboVis to read that data.
Tcl 8.3 and Tk 8.3 - Python uses Tk, Tk uses Tcl.
Python 2.3 - ChomboVis is, in part, Python code.
Pmw.1.2 - Python megawidgets. (Nothing to build -- just untar under /usr/local/lib/python2.3/site-packages or the analogous location on your system.)
Mesa 6.2 - Needed for off-screen rendering (even if you have hardware support for OpenGL).
VTK 4.4 - ChomboVis uses and extends VTK.
What's New in This Release:
Significant code speedups on startup were made, particularly with large data sets.
ChomboVis 4.16.9 supports different languages (including english). It works with Linux.
Downloading ChomboVis 4.16.9 will take several seconds if you use fast ADSL connection.
