Magic Garden is a software that allows you to create simple
fractal plants with a GUI or command line interpreter. There are
plans to add OpenGL support, animations, and some kind of garden
editor.
In interpreter you need to type commands, for instance:
> rule X F[-X][+X]
add rule: X F[-X][+X]
> draw
You should see simple plant.
Increase depth to make it more complex:
> set depth 10
> draw
Now plant is much more interesting.
But it's very regular, so add some chaos:
> set angle_chaos 10
set angle_chaos to 10.0
> draw
Now it looks much better.
In the GUI version just paste rule in the entry and click "add
rule", you will
see the result, then you can change the parameters and the
plant will update itself automatically.
Examples:
1) rule:
X F[-X][+X]
angle: 20
2) rules:
X F[[--X]+XX]F[[++X]-XX]
F FF
angle: 11
3) rules:
X F-[[X]+X]+F[+FX]-X
F FF
angle: 20
Try different depth values, but don't use huge values or your
magic garden will freeze.
