ldapuseradd is comprised of a set of utilities that aid in the management and deployment of user accounts. ldapuseradd project has completely customizable schema support, modular shared object "hook" support, drop-in replacements for useradd/mod/del and groupadd/mod/del, as well as native LDAP library support (so there are much fewer insecure calls to system/popen).
The plugins supplied allow management of Web sites and links, e-mail Maildirs, Pure-FTPd quotas, Apache VirtualHosts, and MySQL databases. The program uses a highly configurable user group profile system to distinguish targeted services and paths. It is like an LDAP-based useradd drop-in replacement program with very modular features.
What's New in This Release:
· This release updates primary and secondary group memberships if you rename a user or group.
· It adds many bugfixes, mostly related to libldap error handling, extensive usermod/groupmod testing and enhancements, and new logic for managing multiple email domains.
