taTelnet is a cross-platform telnet client utilizing the
wxWindows cross-platform GUI (graphical user interface) library.
The motivation is that most telnet's (especially M$'s) don't
work properly and what's worse is that you can't get the source
code to fix it.
Guess what? Here is a telnet program that emulates a DEC VT100
terminal with an extended "PC" mode. And if it doesn't work
quite the way you want or is just plain broken, you can get the
source code and fix it.
We appreciate additions and bug fixes. The whole point here is
to create the best telnet program we can utilizing the collective
brain power of the worlds programmers.
If you download taTelnet and find it useful (or not), please
let me know at derry at techass.com. Praise, critizism, and/or
comments are greatly appreciated. I want to know if it works for
you or not. If you have problems, please email me and let me know
what they are. I can't fix problems if I don't know they exist.

Jeremy Weiner on 2008-05-25 21:46:58Funny that a software application that is claimed to "fix" so many Microsoft telnet problems has so many problems itself. Aside from the myriad of error messages while running or the random blue screens, I'm wondering what the benefits of this product is? Am I missing something here? What else have you written? Anything?
