Sakura is a vte-based terminal emulator. Sakura project aims
to provide a terminal emulator that only depends on GTK and
VTE.
It use a notebook to allow multiple tabs in the same
window.
It pretends to be a terminal emulator with few dependencies, so
you don't need a full GNOME desktop installed to have a decent
terminal emulator. As far as i know, the only terminal emulators
based on VTE are gnome-terminal and a small sample program included
in the vte sources.
Sakura differences from the last one is that it uses a notebook
to provide several terminals in one windows and adds a contextual
menu with some basic options. No more no less.
All the real and hard work is performed by libvte, a great
library programmed by Behdad Esfahbod, Guilherme de S. Pastore and
Nalin Dahyabhai.
