BluefishRx Charge Capture is a powerful billing and coding tool for your handheld. BluefishRx Charge Capture provides a measurable return on investment, recapturing lost revenue and significantly reducing rejected claims. With BluefishRx Charge Capture, the billing process is greatly simplified where it starts -- at the patient encounter. Studies have shown that the majority of physicians undercharge or don't bill a substantial number of revenue opportunities. When the charge is prepared at a later date, encounter information is often forgotten. BluefishRx makes the preparation and submission of charges to your biller quick and easy. In a matter of seconds, physicians can generate and print or securely email a complete charge slip ready for entry into the billing system or the HCFA 1500 form. If the charge is sent via our secure emil system the entire process can be automated with the charges directly entired into the billing system. Alternatively charges can be created and saved for batch printing when the physician returns to the office. In either case, the time lag between the patient encounter and submission of the claim can be greatly reduced. BluefishRx Charge Capture incorporates the local LMRP data, enabling the physician to ensure that each charge meets the medical necessity requirements of their local carrier. All CPT codes must be paired with appropriate ICD-9 codes to meet the local carrier's medical necessity criteria. LMRP data is specific to each local region and BluefishRx Charge Capture offers LMRP data for 50 regions of the US. The LMRP and CPT/ICD9 coding data is licensed from HyperCereus Medical, one of the leaders in medical informatics and coding. Charge-scrubbing functions have traditionally been the domain of expensive PC based billing systems. While errors are found by these desktop systems, it is often days after the physician has submitted the charge. This delay results in many charges going uncorrected and hence rejected because the physician cannot be contacted, is unable to recall the specifics of the encounter, or the cost of correction is not justified. Physicians can now ensure that their charges will meet the medical necessity criteria used by their local carriers at the time they generate the charge slip. Common billing encounters can be stored in the Physicians Charge Capture 'Favorites List.' For ease of use, the patient's last charge is automatically populated in the charge window when a new charge is being generated Features
