MisterLock is a security application. It allows the user to
configure a Palm OS device to lock after a certain period of time,
and only to unlock when provided with a specific password.
An average Palm OS user can benefit from the advanced security
of MisterLock, because in the event that their device is lost or
stolen their data will be protected. Also, the ability to provide a
short text message to be displayed on the keypad form allows a user
to provide contact information in case the device is found by
someone who is willing to return it.
A corporate IS department can also benefit from the advanced
security of MisterLock. When deploying Palm OS devices, the IS
department can configure them with MisterLock and set a Master Key;
this will prevent even the end user from modifying the MisterLock
configuration.
