Description:
iTemp is a software application for Palm OS handhelds that
allows you to read and store temperature data from a Dallas
Semiconductor Thermochron iButton module. iTemp allows you to:
Choose the time to begin temperature taking
Set a sampling rate
Set high and low alarm thresholds
Set when to stop logging
This method of data storage records when a critical thermal
exposure occurred and helps you assign accountability for any
resulting loss of product quality.
Once the data has been sampled, iTemp allows you to:
View a chronological log of the temperature data
View a graph of the temperature data
View a histogram of the data
View the High and Low alarms, and the duration that the
temperature was in an alarm state.
Save the data to a database (Enterprise edition only)
Export the temperature data to a comma-separated value file
(Enterprise edition only)
A Thermochron is a time/temperature recorder housed in a rugged
stainless steel can about the size of 5 dimes stacked one on top of
another. The Thermochron is small, rugged, and easily attaches
anywhere--for example, on industrial hardware, boxes, crates,
pallets, air cargo containers, refrigerators, semi trailers,
railroad freight cars, and archival storage rooms.
You can order a Thermochron Starter Kit (DS1921K) from Dallas
Semiconductor. It costs $25 USD and includes:

12/29/02 - iTemp v3.5
New in V3.5:
Sony CLIE handhelds and Handspring Visor handhelds are now
supported.
Histogram now supports color.
Only non-zero bins are displayed in histrogram.
New "Fit to" on graph allows you to view entire mission on one
screen.
Can read/write extra information to thermochron (for example,
for shipping information). Data is written when mission is started,
and read and saved to card.
Addition of "Back" arrow on Histogram plot and log plot for
quick access to raw data.
Only ask about demo first time that no hardware is found.
Allow tap anywhere on plot view to display values. This makes
taps or sliding your stylus seem more sensitive.
Addition of Menu Bar icon shortcuts.
Added support of high resolution thermochrons models DS1921H
and DS1921Z.

New in V3.0:
iTemp now supports overdrive mode so the complete Thermochron
data can be uploaded in ~2 seconds with no additional
hardware.
Provides color support for graphing and logging data, so you
can easily see temperatures that are above range, below range, or
in range.
Provides VFS (Virtual File System) support for saving your
Mission data to an external memory card in .csv format for easy
import into Excel.
Provides a "You pick the end date" on the Mission Menu to help
you best set the sample rate for your Mission.
Provides a display to show you how long your Mission will last
based on the chosen sample rate.
Provides complete built-in Demo Mode. This will allow you to
try ALL the features of iTemp without hardware by using simulated
data.
