KSE Backgammon - the Game of Kings
This game is the unmistakable descendant of Tabula (Table), a
favorite game of the Romans during the final centuries of the
empire. Backgammon is also kin to Parchees, the staple game of
India. Both must have derived from a pastime of the Summerians that
probably was ancient even then.
Although Backgammon is played with dice, it requires a good deal
of memorization, more than a little gaming sense, and a higher
level of general intellectual attainment than is required in most
other path games. The good Backgammon player beats even a talented
novice at least nine times out of ten. It is not all luck.
As people have enthusiastically played this game for centuries,
we were encouraged to provide it for one of the most modern
operating systems to all passionate Backgammon players and those
