MeetingMute is a sound utility for Pocket PC 2000/2002/2003
that provides flexible muting options to allow you to mute sounds
when you desire. With MeetingMute, you won?t miss a future reminder
because you forgot to restore the volume after you muted it for a
meeting-- it restores the volume for you. A link to Pocket
Outlook is provided for completely unattended muting so
you don't even have to remember to mute before the meeting. Simply
pick the categories of appointments you would like to mute sounds
for and MeetingMute does the rest. You can even configure
MeetingMute so that it will continue to mute if you happen to be
using your Pocket PC when a scheduled meeting ends or the mute time
expires.
MeetingMute offers much more than just muting
functionality, though. A Sound Protection feature
continually monitors your sound settings, making sure that
reminders and alarms are not inadvertently silenced. If you have
ever experienced missed reminders because your sound settings were
changed without you knowing it, MeetingMute can help.
MeetingMute has been designed to work unobtrusively
in the background. Once installed and configured, you can almost
forget that it is there -- except that your sounds are heard when
you want them to be and silenced when you don?t. You don't even
have to use the MeetingMute dialog to mute the volume.
MeetingMute will automatically detect when the volume is muted by
the user or another application and take action. The action
taken is configurable and can be set to restore the volume on the
next power on or after a specified amount of time.
MeetingMute eliminates noisy interruptions while improving
the reliability of your audible reminders. A must have utility for
any corporate user, but equally useful to anyone who has ever been
in a quiet setting and been embarrassed by their noisy Pocket PC or
missed an important reminder because it was inadvertently
silenced. With MeetingMute you can have confidence that you
won't miss a reminder because you forgot to restore the volume or
another program changed your sound settings.
