Orneta Checkers is the classic board game of Checkers on
your Windows Mobile based device. Challenge your strategic skills
with this relaxing game. Orneta Checkers offers a fun and exciting
gaming experience for casual and hardcore fans alike. Now you can
enjoy the game of checker anywhere you may be, directly from your
Windows Mobile based device.
The innovative theme awareness feature pioneered by Orneta
Checkers dynamically changes the game to implement the colors and
sounds of the current Windows Mobile theme. The three skill levels
offer a simple and easy way to enjoy a relaxing game of Checkers to
a tournament style opponent.
Gameplay
The object of checkers is simple, capture all of your opponents
pieces by jumping them, or block them so that they cannot be moved.
Your checkers pieces may only move away from you, to a connected
diagonal square that is unoccupied. If an opponents checkers piece
occupies a diagonally connected square, you may capture your
opponents checkers piece by jumping to the next diagonal space in
the same direction if unoccupied. If you can move one of your
checkers pieces to the other end of the board, it will become a
king, and can move forward and reverse.
