TreeID (Northern Europe)©
TreeID is an easy to use tool that helps the user identify Trees in
the UK and Northern Europe. Using a Simple Image Selection Process
the User can quickly identify which Tree they are looking at by
selecting one of the categorized photographs (Nearly 200
colour photos/images covering 50 different Trees).
Once identified the System gives the following information
Description of each Tree
Common & Latin Name
Age/Height
Habitat
Use of the Tree/Wood
Photos/Images of Leaf, Bark, Flower & Fruit Types for each
Tree

You can identify Trees whilst out walking and you do not having
to "pull bits of them" so that you can identify them later at
home
All ages including Children will really enjoy this easy
graphical way to learn about Trees. It requires no previous
background in Botany and you will quickly learn to identify the
commonest trees around you. (When we wrote and tested this we found
that we all started to look at Trees in a different way and stopped
taking them for granted).
