Description:
NetFront v3.1 for S60 is a sophisticated Internet browser
for smartphones. It provides quick and seamless access to standard
Web pages from a mobile phone. To make mobile browsing convenient
NetFront offers Smart-Fit Rendering?, which intelligently adapts
standard Web pages to the screen width of a S60 phone and
eliminates the need for horizontal scrolling. To get information
fast NetFront starts displaying a Web page in a simplified format
and automatically enriches the layout as more elements get
downloaded. This allows you quickly gain an overview about the
contents and select further reading links before the complete
download of larger objects such as pictures or animations.
NetFront v3.1 supports all important Internet standards,
including HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.1, cHTML, CSS, SSL and ECMA Script
(JavaScript 1.5). This version supports English, French, German,
Italian, Spanish and Portuguese phone language.
NetFront for S60 is compatible with the Nokia 3650, 3660, 3620,
3600, 6600, 7610, Nokia N-Gage game deck, N-Gage QD game deck,
Siemens SX-1, Sendo X, Nokia 6620, Nokia 6260, Panasonic X700, and
Samsung SGH-D710.
Smart-Fit Rendering - convenient browsing NetFront uses a
sophisticated rendering technique to adapt pages coded for PC to a
S60 screen. Smart-Fit Rendering eliminates the need for horizontal
scrolling, yet maintains the intended layout as much as
possible.
Rapid-Render - Faster access to information NetFront
starts displaying a Web page in a simplified format and
automatically enriches the layout as more elements get downloaded.
This gives you an overview about the contents quickly and you can
select further reading links before larger objects such as pictures
or animations are downloaded.
TextOnly mode - speed of access and safe option Some Web
sites simply do not load in full layout on a memory constrained
mobile device. TextOnly mode allows you access the information by
dropping the layout and greatly enhances the download speed.
Customizable shortcuts - even faster access to
information You can assign menu commands to the phones number
keys, plus the "" and "" keys. A set of shortcuts is predefined.
For example pressing "2" brings you to the end of a page while
pressing "1" brings you back to the top of the page, "" toggles
full screen mode on/off and "" toggles Smart-Fit on/off.
Integration with contacts and messaging applications
NetFront seamlessly integrates with other applications on your
phone. For example, you can easily add an e-mail address from a
link on a Web page to your Contacts; and, clicking an e-mail link
opens the e-mail application with the address automatically added
inserted.
