ArcaVir from the very first version has been addressed to the widest possible range of users; it was designed as a tool both for computer programmers and beginning computer users. It has been possible thanks to a maximally simplified user interface, which, nevertheless, includes also more advanced options for specialists interested in exploring broad possibilities the program offers.
In order to use ArcaVir, you do not need to possess any knowledge related to viruses. The only thing you need is the awareness that viruses exist and can easily become the source of serious problems for the computer users
denying their existence.
ArcaVir 2008 package guarantees comprehensive system safety. The program is based on a modern anti virus engine ArcaMultiEngine, which contains one of the world richest database about viruses, Trojan horses, worms, spyware, adware, riskware programs and rootkits.
ArcaVir uses advanced heuristic algorithms to detect new unknown risks.
ArcaVir has been prepared and is being developed by programmers with long experience in antivirus and protection applications creation. The specialists continuously monitor network status and are able to react to new
dangers before they become serious problem.
ArcaVir protects the system taking into account all the potential sources of danger from floppy disks and CD-R, through email, LAN and Internet to rootkit objects. Rich set of protection tools and mechanisms goes with

ArcaVir package is simple to install and use. It is ready to work just after installation. CD ROM attached to the box version includes Arcanix system that allows to start the computer in order to check all the disks for harmful programs. It concerns both FAT and NTFS partitions.
ArcaVir 2008 package constitutes a universal set of tools used for the computer protection against viruses. It contains all the elements indispensable for the complete antivirus protection of even the most
developed computer systems, i. e.:
- antivirus monitor (ArcaMon) protecting the system against infections and continuously scanning all the executed files, diskettes, etc.,
- antivirus scanner (ArcaScan) enabling the control of selected computer resources,
- mail scanner (ArcaMail) controlling all the incoming and outgoing mail,
- antispam module (ArcaAntiSpam) enabling filtering of unwanted mail,
- firewall module (ArcaFirewall) protecting the computer against attacks from the Internet,
- parental control module (ArcaCare) allowing control of the access to the Internet,
- ArcaCheck module enabling the instant control of the system from the point of view of infections,
- rootkits detecting module (ArcaRD) looking for rootkits and destroying them,
- phishing detecting module (ArcaAntiPhishing) reacting to attempts to steal personal data (bank account numbers, passwords) by means of specially prepared email messages or Web pages.
- Module detecting and removing spyware, adware, riskware, dialers (ArcaAntiXWare),
- registry monitor (ArcaRegMon) controlling changes in the Windows system registry,
- automatic update module (ArcaUpdate) for the program and virus 5 definitions,
Besides protective modules, ArcaVir package also contains additional tools that help in everyday work with the system:
- Process Manager – allows analysis of the list of running applications,
- System report (ArcaDump) – creates report about the system condition that may be sent to ArcaBit Analysis Department,
- Quarantine (ArcaQuar) – module enabling secure storage of suspected files,
- Tasks – allows to run periodically selected processes (update, scanning),
- Installation fixing module (ArcaFix) – allows quick return to default configuration,
- Reports – uniform reporting module allows to follow protective package actions.
- Administration module (ArcaAdmin) – enables remote management of the ArcaVir program, configuration, monitoring and central reporting.
