Spectro Octave Analyzer enables you to easily perform real-time 1 and 1/3 octave analysis on your PC using your sound card. Butterworth filters are used to estimate the octave bands; and A-weighting; B-weighting and C-weighting can be applied to the octave amplitudes.
The powerful Spectro Octave Analyzer software helps you perform octave measurements using your PC or laptop sound card. Spectro Octave Analyzer computes, in real-time, the averaged 1 octave and 1/3 octave spectrum recorded by a microphone, connected to the sound card.
Various sampling rates, of 8 kHz up to of 44.1 kHz (22050 Hz frequency span), 1 channel, and 16 bit are supported.
RMS or peak hold averaging octave analysis can be performed with linear or exponential averaging, applying the most popular window functions. Butterworth filters are used to estimate the sum of the energy for the octave bands; and A-weighting; B-weighting and C-weighting can be applied to the octave amplitudes.
The octave bands are displayed in a bar graph and the overall levels are also displayed. The program also provides cursor tools for precision amplitude analysis. Moreover, the results can be saved in a text file and imported into a spreadsheet program for additional analysis and presentation. The software is compatible with Windows 2000/Windows XP.
NOTES:
- A sound card is required to use the program. The software will automatically detect the installed sound devices on your PC.
- Please ensure that the sound card and drivers are installed and enabled before you open the program.
- Please ensure that the sound card software is correctly set-up and that the correct source input (microphone jack) is selected for the microphone.
- A run-time engine is part of the installation.
- Please ensure that the program is fully functional and compatible with your PC and sound card before purchasing an license key.
