iDownload is a tool created to download DRM-Free content from BBC iPlayer. This content can be used for further use on any device that supports Apple QuickTime Movies (.mov files) and MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (.mp3) including iPhone, iPod Touch and any PC.

iDownload is an application developed to download radio and tv programs onto an Apple iPhone or Apple iPod Touch. It downloads DRM-Free content from the BBC iPlayer based on Channels, Genre and Title search.
The lightweight application is built in Java thus offering portability being able to run on any operating system where Java 1.6 or above is available. The user interface is built using Adobe’s Flash technology which can be run under any Flash supported browser under multiple operating systems.
Since the user interface communicates with the application via HTTP protocol the application can be accessed over the internet provided access through the firewall is granted.
