CDCollector is a simple but powerful software that allows you to create and maintain indexes of files and folders archived in CDROMs.
The indexes are placed into the fixed disk of your computer, the program lets you to browse and search for files and asks you to insert the CD when you want to open or copy a file or folder. The main benefits of this software are found in the large collections of backup disks, magazines CDs and other software disks.
The program is very fast, easy to use and simple to install. It works on Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP.

-for files: name, creation time, modify time, access time, size.
-for folders: name, creation time, modify time, access time.
-for disks: internal label, external label, serial number, burning date and description
-for collections: title, description, statistics.
--Create a disk index

-Based on words in file or folder title
-Based on file or folder creation, access and modify time
--Open or copy a file or folder from the collection view or the search results view

--Each disk index is made by a single file, a collection contains a set of this files and a disk index can stay in more than one collection.
