Windows Vista Desktop Wallpaper Pack is a collection of the images taken by Hamad Darwish while he was under contract with Microsoft, in early 2006, during the Windows Vista photo-shoot. Two of the images in the pack are included in Windows Vista's installation disk, while the rest just didn't make the cut. That doesn't mean they're not great, high-quality photos.

This user is Hamad Darwish, and if you’re using Vista, then his photos might be on your computer right now. He spent around 11 days taking photos in Oregon, USA. Out of the over 6000 RAW files (meaning an average of 500 to 600 shots per day), he had to choose 15 photos. From these 15 photos, Microsoft had to pick 5. Microsoft offered a flat fee to commission those 5 photos.
