ChickenPing is a cooking application designed users to add and sort all types of food. The utility provides the user with all necessary tools needed to carefully organize dishes: description, rating, directions, servings, ingredients, snapshots and more.
ChickenPing is highly customizable by adding new categories, editing recipes. All content can be exported as an XML file or recipeML. The application allows users to post pictures of their dishes online by way of Flickr or Picasa.
With the ingredients available, ChickenPing can tell you if you have what it takes to cook your meal using Cook Using What's In The Fridge. Other features like Shopping Lists, Scale Recipes, Timers turn this application into a full-featured recipe organizer.
Main Features of ChickenPing:
- Organize And Find Recipes Easily - Categorize recipes to allow easy searching. Search by name, rating or ingredients to find recipes quickly.
- Shopping Lists - Create shopping lists automatically from recipes which sound good, or add individual ingredients which you need to make a recipe.
- Cook Using What's In The Fridge - Search using the ingredients you have. You'll never again finish chopping vegetables for a spanish omelette to find you have no eggs!
- Scale Recipes - Automatically calculate how many ingredients you need for the number of servings required.
- Add Photos Of Finished Dishes - Take snapshots of a recipe when it's finished to remind you when you're choosing dinner next week.
- Sticky Fingers Mode - Turn on Sticky Fingers Mode when you're in the kitchen, with high contrast and large buttons you don't need to worry about getting the laptop dirty.
- upload to Flickr or Picasa - When you've added photos of a recipe, publish them straight to Flickr or Picasa with a few clicks.
- Import From RecipeML format - ChickenPing supports importing and exporting RecipeML files. RecipeML is a way of storing recipes electronically in an XML format so you don't need to enter them manually.
- Windows Mobile Version - ChickenPing Mobile runs on any Windows Mobile 6 device, so you can take your portable recipe book with you. Translations for Windows Mobile are available in English, Russian and Ukranian.
- Create Timers - If a recipe requires something to be done at a certain time, set a timer to remind you when a set amount of time has elapsed.
