Description:
Belkasoft Yahoo! Messenger History Extractor Pro helps you retrieve
the history of your messages exchanged with your contacts over a
period of maximum one year. At least, that is what they advertise.
In fact, the trial version does not recover more then 10 messages
and, besides, you are advised to create a backup of your messenger
profile for it might crash the instant messengers. So far, so good.
We tested the program: chose the username, selected the period to
"last month", chose the target format (plain text, also available
XML and HTML), chose the option to generate separate files to each
contact and selected all the contacts shown by the program. The
program showed a total of 130 messages retrieved from the history.
Now, since this is a trial version, it is stated that a maximum of
ten messages will be retrieved for every contact. The results were,
however, quite unsatisfactory because: out of five contacts with
whom I exchanged messages, the program only detected three; one of
the contacts appeared with only four messages, instead of ten out
of dozens of messages. Plus, there is no saying whether the program
retrieved all the messages within the past month.

In conclusion: In my opinion, the trial version should be
extended to at least a couple of messages over a month or so, in
order to get a real evaluation. Otherwise, this trial edition is of
no use.
