MSN Messenger is the well-known tool from Microsoft that allows you to chat online with your friends, colleagues and family.

MSN Messenger is the well-known tool from Microsoft that allows you to chat online with your friends, colleagues and family.
Currently it had been replaced by Windows Live Messenger - the next-generation MSN Messenger.
This smart, feature-rich and powerful chat tool comes with everything you might need from such software: contact list, emoticons, instant access to your friends via text, voice, and video, as well as new ways to connect and share photos and documents effortlessly.
MSN Messenger comes with a great set of options including direct links to your e-mail inbox, MSN home page, address book.
MSN Messenger also features video and voice conversation options as well as animated winks, shared search, photo swap between you and your friends or a personal music message which displays the track you are listening to while communicating with friends.
Furthermore, there are also some funny online games that can be played by two or more peers. Other exciting features of the MSN Messenger are the Whiteboard, Remote Assistance and Application Sharing. These features, only available with MSN Messenger, will provide the chatters the opportunity to share data or be part in a remote assistance session with partial or complete control of the target workstation.
You may also record a short voice message (up to 15 seconds) that can be played by your peer; you can add an animated graphic as your conversation backgrounds.
Sharing your animated backgrounds if you enable the "Share background" option is also possible.

-Pentium 233 MHz (500 MHz recommended)
-128 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended)
-Up to 50 MB of hard disk space for installation, 15 MB to run the program
-Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 SP1 or later must be installed on your computer, though it does not need to be your default.
-800 x 600 or higher screen resolution
