Klix description
This application recovers digital pictures after reformat, deletion, or card corruption Everybody loves digital cameras because they are easy to use and there's no film or developing costs involved.
However, one of the big problems with digital cameras is that the media cards they save pictures on can be easily corrupted or accidentally erased. You then run the risk of losing your irreplaceable pictures of your baby's first steps, son's graduation or your trip to Hawaii. It happens all too often...
Have no fear, Klix is here! With just a few "Klix", your pictures are back in perfect condition. No worries, no fuss, and no angry family members!
Klix is an easy-to-use program that will search for and recover all pictures on your camera or media card. Klix will work when the photos were deleted, lost or even if the media card has been reformatted.
Easy to use
Just select a camera or media card adapter, press start, then watch your lost and deleted pictures appear. It's as easy as 1-2-3!
Flexible
Klix can recover both pictures and movies, just click and drag the ones you want. Make an exact copy of your media card right to your computer (and recover from it later). There is even an option to secure-delete pictures that you no longer want and they become permanently unrecoverable.
Safe
You select the drive you want the pictures to be recovered to. Klix makes no attempt to repair a damaged media card; it cannot cause additional damage or picture loss.
Here are some key features of "Klix":
· Klix works with any USB, FireWire, IEEE 1394 or iLink camera and all media card formats and adapters.
· Klix can recover all types of image files including: JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PNG and RAW formats from Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Kodak, Minolta, Fuji,Sigma, Foveon, Casio and Sony. It also recovers MOV, MPEG and AVI movies.
· Secure-delete pictures that you no longer want and they become permanently unrecoverable.
· Even though using Klix is a simple matter, behind the scenes it performs directory scanning and advanced file scavenging. Media card copies can be selected and performed when needed for optimum performance.
· View and click on the pictures you want to recover. There's no need to recover every picture found, just the ones you want.
· You select the drive you want the pictures to be recovered to. Klix makes no attempt to repair a damaged media card and therefore will not cause additional damage or picture loss.

· PC with CD-ROM
· 128MB of RAM
· Intel Pentium 2 Processor
· Monitor resolution 800 x 600
Limitations:
· You will be presented with a complete list of all the files found on your system, but you will be limited to select and recover only one file.
· Erase media feature disabled
Note
Klix will not recover pictures after a format operation in Olympus and Fuji cameras using XD media.
