Description:
Gateway IP Monitor is particularly useful for the users with a DSL/cable internet connection who would like to be notified when the IP address of their (or their customers) gateway changes.
The service will monitor your default gateway's ip address by periodically connecting to a web page on the Internet.
Gateway IP Monitor will notify you by email when the ip address changes, and also supports a log file and launching custom processes.
Gateway IP Monitor is a Windows NT / Win2k / WinXP service that monitors the default gateway's IP address by repeatedly connecting to a web page on the Internet. By default Gateway IP Monitor notifies you by email if the IP address changes, additionally the newly obtained IP address can also be written to a text log file and/or you can launch a custom application (process).
Gateway IP Monitor determines your gateway's IP address by connecting to a web page on the Internet that displays the IP address of the remote host. NETIKUS.NET ltd provides you with the web page http://www.netikus.net/show_ip.html for free.
If you are trying to access your customers network through the Internet and have to call their office to get the IP address, or you are paying more money for your DSL line just because you would like a static IP address (for remote administration purposes), or you are trying to access your home network from the Internet but don't know the IP address, then you should consider running Gateway IP Monitor.
