HSLAB Print Logger SOHO description
Ideal print management solution for small office usage The Print Logger SOHO is a tool designed for print management (print control and audit printing activity) for printers at print server, based on Windows NT operation systems family.
HSLAB Print Logger SOHO inspects the print jobs on a computer, where software is installed. Main assignment of the program - collection of the information about sizes (in pages and kilobytes) of local print jobs and record it to the database for the subsequent analysis or creation reports about printing activity.
Note: if your printer has its own network interface or connected to the hardware network prin server( JetDirect or any other), you should install the printer as a local printer on the server where Print Loggeris installed.
You should specify the MS Standard TCPIP port with the printer IP address as the port of the printer, or the JetDirect(or other) port for a network print-sever. Users should connect to printer using the print server as to the regular netwirk printer: YourServerNameYourPrinterName.
HSLAB Print Logger SOHO can also inspect sizes of print jobs based on defined quotas and prohibit printing, if the quotas are exceeded (cost recovery and audit print).
Quotas for printing is a very powerful and effective mechanism for cost management on printing in your organization.
Limiting printing activities for some employees, you can really save on a paper, a toner for printers (especial at a color printing), expenses for repair and service for printers.
With Print Logger SOHO you can easily manage your print jobs.
The collection of the information and printing job control can be organized in three main ways:
&183; Collection of the information and print control jobs for the selected printer (printers);
&183; collection of the information and print control jobs for the selected user (users);
&183; Collection of the information and print control jobs for the selected computer.
Requirements:
&183; Frequency of the CPU not less than 400 MHz, 256 MBytes of RAM. At least one local printer installed. Local area network (or dial up connection) to Internet, TCP/IP is required.
&183; System memory: Corresponds to the requirements for Microsoft Window NT-family systems.
&183; Disk space: 5 Mbytes for the program and minimum of 7 Mbytes for installation.
&183; Printer(s): For maintenance of the exact accounting you should to adjust some printer's parameters .
&183; Screen resolution: 800 x 600 (with any color depth), 1024 x 768 x 16-bit color recommended.
