UDAV description
A program for data arrays visualization based on MathGL
library.
UDAV (Universal Data Arrays Visualization) is program for data
arrays visualization based on MathGL library. UDAV supports simple
script languagem visual data handling and editing and a wide
spectrum of graphics.
UDAV has windows interface for data viewing, changing and
plotting. Also it can execute MGL scripts, setup and rotate
graphics and so on.
MathGL is a free library of fast C++ routines for the plotting
of the data varied in one or more dimensions. MathGL has more than
40 general types of graphics for 1d, 2d and 3d data arrays. It can
export graphics to bitmap and vector (EPS or SVG) files.
MathGL has OpenGL interface and can be used from console
programs. It has functions for data handling and script MGL
language for simplification of data plotting. Also it has several
types of transparency and smoothed lightning, vector fonts and
TeX-like symbol parsing, arbitrary curvilinear coordinate system
and many over useful things. Finally it is platform independent and
free.
Here are some key features of "UDAV":
· Wide spectrum of graphics. At this moment (MathGL
v.1.4.2) more than 40 general types of graphics are supported.
· Support smoothed lightning, transparency, TeX symbols,
arbitrary curvelinear coordinates and a lot of other things (see
MathGL features).
· Simple and fast data and formulas plotting:
You can see the script and graphical result at the same
time.
You can rotate plot by toolbar or by mouse.
You can zoom in/out a part of plot.
You can switch on/off lightning and transparency.
· There are wizards for command or plot options
creation.
· Table for data editing support up to 3-dimensional
data arrays.
· Minimal set of tools for data handling (smoothing,
resizing, cropping, filling by formula, summation, differentiation,
histogram creation and so on).
· Export graphics to bitmap (PNG) and vector (EPS and
SVG) files.
