Description:
Smart Protector Pro is a powerful tool that erases your Internet tracks (cookies, browsing history) and other computer activity.
While you surf the Internet, your browser leaves numerous tracks on your computer. These tracks include cookies, history, temporary Internet files, index.dat files, home pages, and forms AutoComplete, files in the Recycle Bin, recent documents, and the Windows Temp folder.
These tracks can provide other users an opportunity to access the information on your computer. The goal of this program is to protect your privacy by removing these tracks.
The software provides the following advanced features:
-Optional erase - The user can choose exactly what tracks to remove.
-Save and restore state - Saves the state of all tracks at a time that you specify and restores the tracks later erasing only the tracks that you identify but not by other users of your computer.
-Auto-erase - Performs optional auto-erase in the background (without showing) at specific times
-Emergency Key - Press Ctrl + Alt + Z to close all Internet Explorer windows and start a background erasing. You can change the default value of this custom keyboard shortcut combination on the Emergency Key tab of the Settings dialog box.
-Cookie Keeper - Allows you to retain particular cookies but erase other cookies.
-Protect Home Page - Protects your home page on the Internet from sites that can change your home page to their own page. Restore your original home page or use a blank page when SmartProtector erases the tracks.
-Erasing the tracks of commonly used programs - SmartProtector Pro can optionally erase the tracks of the following popular programs: ACDSee, Media Player, Google Toolbar, Divx Player, PowerDVD Player, Real Player/RealOne Player, Winamp 2.7, MS Office 97/2000/XP, Acrobat Reader 3.x/4.x/5.0, Download Accelerator (DAP), GetRight 3.x/4.x, Go!Zilla, Net Vampire, and WinRar 2x/3x, WinZip.
-Custom Erase - The user can specify additional files and folders for erasure.
