AutorunExterminator is a small and simple tool that monitors all logical drives (from C: to Z:) looking for the file "autorun.inf" and blocks its running.
Many virus problems are known to appear as a result of the unsecured use of the pen drive. When the AutorunExterminator finds a file with the autorun/autorun.inf name in the root of any drive, it will exclude it.
This handy software will cause no problems with the autorun of CD/DVD (autoruns generally reliable) because there is no way to delete files of this type of media.
When executed, the AutoRunExterminator appears in the System Tray (near the Windows clock). This means that it is running and monitoring. You may place a shortcut to the program in the "Startup" on the Start menu to start it with Windows.
The software was tested successfully on Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 7.
