Check Identical Files description
An easy-to-use application that will help you check your drives for
annoying duplicate files.
This utility finds true duplicates (byte for byte check)! CIF
doesn't use the unreliable CRC check.
CIF is able to check your drives for annoying duplicate files,
and provides easy capability of deleting them, saving you megabytes
of precious diskspace. Features include added multiple folders and
subfolders easily for scanning, show file info under cursor, select
identical files manually, by directory or by pattern, automatically
leave at least one original. All in all, this software can be
considered an absolute must-have for people who have huge
collections of files, pictures or mp3.
Here are some key features of "Check Identical
Files":
· Find Identical Music files (MP3's, WAV, etc..).
· Find Identical Images (GIF, JPG, PNG, etc..).
· Find Identical Files (any kind) Add multiple folders
and sub folders easily for scanning.
· CIF checks the whole file, thus no checksums or other
methods which can be wrong.
· Shows important file info.
· Select Identical Files manually, by folder, or by
pattern.
· Automatically warn to leave at least one original.
· Edit the list of files before actually deleting all of
them.
· Delete files directly or to recycle bin, or send them
to an archive.
· CIF is among the group of fastest duplicate file
finders.
· Search local PC and network (Hard drive, Floppy, USB
Stick, Jazz, ZIP, CD-ROM, DVD, Network drives, etc.).
· User friendly interface.
