New Google Content Network Changes

The new improvements performed over the Google content network will provide many advantages for users, publishers and advertisers. Through Google AdSense program, publishers are able to display unobtrusive ads into their web pages.

The changes in Google content network were necessary as a consequence of DoubleClick purchase in order to increase the efficiency of advertising process and to optimize the methods of collaboration between advertisers and publishers. Another important change regards the fact that third party vendors will be also supported on Google content network.

The modifications will be available in the next month and they are referring to the next issues: frequency capping and reporting, ads quality optimization and view-through conversions.

Based on these modifications, the users will not see an ad repeatedly and its interaction with the ads will be described by detailed reports containing the number of users that has seen the ads, number of ads display by a single user and more.

This functionality will be based on a DoubleClick ad serving cookie. As a consequence, the DoubleClick advertisers and publishers will not be forced to perform modifications to their actual websites. The Privacy Policy for Google Ads and the Google content network explains in details the role of the DoubleClick cookie and the principle of serving ads in case of AdSense for Search partners and Google content network.
