Opera 10 Alpha Obtained A Score of 100/100 For Acid3 Test

Opera Software ASA has made available for free download a new version of their web browser: Opera 10 Alpha. This new version includes Opera Presto 2.2 rendering engine that comes with visible improvements in stability and speed, as well as the support for actual web standards.

This new rendering engine, as compared with previous versions, is faster with up to 30% in case of pages which consume many resources. For web developers, new challenges in building unique websites and applications are determined by the distinctive features of Opera Presto 2.2.

It allows the usage of web fonts (as well as SVG font files) and the creation of web page elements transparency in a simple manner due to the existing support for CSS 3 opacity property and alpha transparency for HSL and RGB. On the other hand Opera Dragonfly has also many new features such as AJAX applications debugging, DOM editing support and more.

The score of 100/100 in case of Acid3 Test shows that Opera is ready for the applications and websites based on the future web technologies and in the same time is a powerful competitor for the current browsers market.
