Windows Live Essentials Beta Is Updated
Microsoft Corporation announced the availability of an updated version of Windows Live Essentials Beta applications suite.
Based on the users feedback, the Windows programs contained in Windows Live Essentials (Messenger beta, Mail beta, Writer beta (read a detailed review of Windows Live Writer), Photo Gallery beta, Movie Maker beta, Family Safety beta and Toolbar beta) were improved, the developers getting close to the final release.
Beside the ones mentioned earlier, additional applications that come with Windows Live Essentials Beta are: Microsoft Office Outlook, ConnectorOffice Live Add-in and Microsoft Silverlight.
The Windows Live Essentials products are compatible with Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (32-bit edition only), or Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit editions), installed on a computer having a processor with a frequency of at least 1 GB. Other necessary system requirements are: 256 MB RAM for Windows XP or 512 MB RAM for Vista, screen resolution minimum 1024×768 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 version.
The automatic installer allows users to customize the installation process, by selecting only the desired applications from Windows Live Essentials Beta suite. If the first installer, available for free download at Windows Live website does not work, a standalone one is also provided.
