Change Your Vista Booting Style With VistaBootPRO
The boot directives and behavior of applications in Windows Vista can be controlled through BCDEdit, in comparison with Boot.ini which exists in the previous versions of Windows operating system. BCDEdit permits the execution of changes into Windows Vista Boot Configuration Data (BCD) registry, but in a complicated manner, by using command-line options.
Only by using BCDEdit, a beginner user of Windows Vista could not perform the tasks necessary to customize the way in which the operating system will boot.
Fortunately, the existence of VistaBootPRO application will allow users to manage the boot configuration or install a second operating system without being the need to interact with command-line commands required by BCDEdit. For example, the installation of Windows XP in a dual boot with Windows Vista pre-installed is dramatically simplified.
VistaBootPRO is also able to backup the boot information (BCD store), before any modifications will take place. The application provides users many other features like the possibility to change the order of the items in the boot menu displayed when the computer starts, specify the default operating system, correct any existing error in the BCD store and more.
VistaBootPRO is compatible with all versions of Windows Vista and XP and also work with the new Windows 7 Beta operating system. It can be downloaded from the official website.
These are the main changes in VistaBootPRO version 3.3:
- Separated application startup checks (BCD Store Missing/Corrupt and Administrative Rights)
- Reworded System Bootloader options for easier understanding
- Packaged manifest file inside VistaBootPRO.exe
