Virtual Exploration Of The Oceans With Google Earth 5.0

Google Earth 5.0, the latest version of the popular application that allows you to view satellite imagery, 3D buildings, maps and other geographical content, now has a new amazing feature: the option to explore and discover the deepest zones of the oceans, which represent two thirds of the planet. The user will be able to see exclusive content from BBC and National Geographic, as well as 3D shipwrecks like Titanic.

Based on new Google Earth 5.0 functionality, the user can see only in a few hours oceans related data and images that other people discovered in a lifetime. The application Layers panel contains a new folder named Ocean with 20 content layers. For example, by double clicking the “Explore the Ocean” layer, you will be directed to an Ocean Overview video and in the same time various videos from National Geographic can be selected for playing.

Beside the Ocean exploration feature, this version of Google Earth provides three other new enhancements: Historical Imagery, Touring and 3DMars. The Historical Imagery feature allows users to move back and forth in time by navigating through images related to one place but corresponding to different dates and viewing the changes in the existence of a certain geographical zone.

3DMars option provides you the possibility to view a 3D map of the Red Planet, the 3D terrain and more. The Touring feature makes easy to share a preferred tour by recording it. The tour can also be personalized with narration or by the addition of a soundtrack.

Google Earth 5.0 is available for free download from Downloadtube.com website. It is compatible only with Windows and Mac operating systems.
