Get Email Messages From Yahoo! And GMail In The Same Inbox
When you get a high number of emails daily distributed across multiple inboxes is hard to manage them in an optimal manner. If you are using web based email services like Yahoo! and GMail, the email messages received into both types of accounts can be organized in a single inbox on your own computer with the help of an email client.
There are many free to download and use email clients for all commonly used operating systems (Windows, Linux or Mac). The user is able to forward GMail messages to an existing email account that is already configured to work with a desktop based email client. In the same time, the GMail messages can be directly received with the email client through POP3 or IMAP protocol.
While the POP3/IMAP access and email messages forwarding is free in case of GMail service, the non-commercial (free) Yahoo! accounts do not have these option. Fortunately, in order to get the messages from Yahoo! inbox on a local computer, even for a free email account, YPOPs! application provides a simple alternative, but it is designed only for Windows operating system (Linux users could try it with Wine).
YPOPs! will provide POP3 and SMTP access to Yahoo! Mail service for Windows email clients through a POP3 server interface and a HTTP client. In this way, all email messages from Yahoo! inbox will be easily managed with any desktop email client.
By setting up in the desktop email client options two email accounts corresponding to GMail and Yahoo, you will have the possibility to perform a better management of the messages from an unique inbox. The majority of the email clients will allow you to receive the messages in separate directories. If you have more email accounts with POP3 or IMAP access features, is recommended to define the necessary options in the desktop client in order to receive messages alongside those coming from GMail or Yahoo!.
