What Is New In Firefox 3.0.7
The long road to Mozilla Firefox 3.1 is marked by a new update of the latest stable browser version through the release of Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7. As you might already know, new features was not added in this release. Firefox 3.0.7 incorporates security, stability and accessibility issues fixes. Three new localized versions were also provided corresponding to Estonian, Kannada, and Telugu language.
In Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7 version, the next security issues were fixed:
-URL spoofing with invisible control characters
-Upgrade PNG library to fix memory safety hazards
-2009-09 XML data theft via RDFXMLDataSource and cross-domain redirect
-Mozilla Firefox XUL Linked Clones Double Free Vulnerability
-Crashes with evidence of memory corruption
In the same time, was solved the bug related to the inactive items in the File menu, appeared when the Print command was used. Also, other minor bugs were fixed, such as the error of Flashblock add-on, experienced by Mac users, when a sound continued to play after the browser window was closed.
Firefox 3.0.6 users will be automatically notified in a time interval of 24-48 hours since the 3.0.7 version release, if the Firefox Automatic Updates are turned on in the Options panel. Otherwise, you should use the Check For Updates option manually.
If you have installed a version of Firefox browser from 2.x family, there is recommended to update your software to the latest version, because the current one is no longer supported for security or stability updates.
