Unification Of Facebook And Twitter Through TweetDeck
Made on Adobe AIR platform, TweetDeck is a desktop client intended to monitor the information published on social networking services like Twitter, Twitscoop, 12seconds and StocktwitsTweetDeck. In the latest version there are included elements which integrates Facebook into the functionality of TweetDeck. From now on, users will be able to track Twitter and Facebook updates by using the same graphical user interface.
Due to the new feature added to TweetDeck, you can stay in contact with your friends from the Facebook network, right within the operating system desktop. TweetDeck allows users to establish a direct connection to their Facebook account and as a consequence they are able to send messages, email updates, publish tweets on Twitter and Facebook in the same time and more.
According to the official TweetDeck blog, Facebook users will not miss any of the updates of their friends statuses: “Firstly you can click on the Facebook icon at the top and, once you have signed into Facebook and given TweetDeck authorisation, this will add a new column full of each of your friends most recent status update which updates automatically once a minute. From here you can email the update out to anyone, tweet it out over twitter, view the users online status and if they are online right now click on their name (or the green online status indicator) to open Facebook chat right within TweetDeck.”
The user have also the possibility to publish information only on one social network (Facebook or Twitter) from the main TweetDeck window.
TweetDeck version 0.24.1 is only a pre-release, intended for testing purposes. This software could have a lot of popularity in the future due to a simple fact: it brings you a rapid alternative to monitor the latest published information on top social networks, like Twitter and Facebook.
