Gmail Enables The Undo Option For Sent Messages
Mail Goggles, one of the Gmail Labs experiment implemented a year ago, allows you to carefully decide which email message will be sent through the service, after the providing of a correct result for simple mathematical operations. Now, Gmail offers a better feature, Undo Send, to manage the status of emails which you do not want to be sent at a given moment by accidentally pressing the Send button.
The Undo Send Gmail functionality can be enabled via Gmail Settings in the Labs area. When you activate this option, after an email was sent, for a period of 5 seconds the possibility to cancel it is still available.
On the other hand, if the web browser is closed or an accidentally crash occurs, the email message will still be delivered to the specified email address by the Gmail service.
The Undo Send Gmail enhancement is useful when you forget to add an attachment or other essential information to an email message with a very important content for the receiver. In the same time, if the send button was pressed accidentally, this feature might help you to correct the receiver email address or the email content.
If you will check out the Labs section under the Settings area of your Gmail account, many other enhancements could be found, which will help you to perform a better management of the inbox and of the main tasks related to sending, filtering and receiving email.
