Facebook Will Roll Out New Improvements In Response To Users Feedback
In response to the users feedback regarding the functionality of the new Facebook web browser based user interface, Facebook’s Director of Product, Christofer Cox, announced on the Facebook official blog that over the next weeks, various improvements will be made to the social networking service. He describes the stages of evolution of every new Facebook product, underlining the main purpose of the changes which will be rolled out in the near future.
“Whenever we build something new or tweak something old, our motivation is the same: to help you share with the people you care about and find out what’s happening with them. Before we launch any new product, it first must pass a process of design, development and testing with a more limited user audience. If those results are satisfactory, we then release it for all of you to use. We know that no amount of testing is as valuable as what you have to say. For this reason, we will always look to you, our users, to tell us what is working and what isn’t so we can continually make improvements.”
In the same blog post there are also presented the details of the upcoming Facebook changes. In the first place, the improvements will target the users needs to have a better control of sharing of different types of content, like photos, videos and text from a single place.
The user pages stream will be updated automatically without the need to reload the page. Alongside this feature, on Facebook, you will be able to use photo tags, to better filter the applications content shared by your friends, to see a higher number of highlights and more.
The new design changes will also allow you to find information faster and easier: the requests will be moved to the top of the right column and the stream can be filtered based on a new friends list. In conclusion, all of these upcoming Facebook modifications will make the social networking experience of the users more pleasant and will definitely improve the overall quality of the Facebook service.
