SPNbabble: A Microblogging Service For Webmasters
SPNbabble is a new microblogging platform deployed with Laconica software. It provides services similar with Twitter, Jaiku and Plurk, but SPNbabble is intended primarily for webmasters and site owners. People are allowed to publish short messages of 140 characters over the web. The messages are transmitted directly through the web, RSS feeds or can be automatically published in the same time on Twitter, Friendfeed, Facebook, Plurk and other popular social networking services.
The notices can be also sent and received through instant messaging services like Jabber and Gtalk. The necessary settings to configure instant messaging services and social networks accounts data, are available in the Connect area.
In order to be able to use SPNbabble microblogging service, you will have to register an account first. Then, after a successful login, the message of maximum 140 characters must be typed into the textbox situated at the top of the page.
The message will be instantly published on the timeline and will go to your subscribers to. If you want to subscribe to other users notices (messages), on their profile page, just click the Subscribe button.
SPNbabble messages can be republished with the help of RSS feeds (RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom protocols). WordPress users will find for free download a plugin which allows the integration of SPNbabble into any WordPress blog.
SPNbabble provides webmasters and online marketers a suitable way to increase their audience and website traffic with a minimum effort.
