Google Chrome 2.0.172.28 Has 300 Bugs Fixed
After 8 month since the first launch of Google Chrome and a Beta version release in March 2009, now a new stable version of Google web browser has finally arrived: Google Chrome 2.0.172.28. In this stable release of Google Chrome, the stability is increased by the fixing of more than 300 bugs and in the same time, the loading speed of pages with content served through JavaScript is also higher than in the previous browser versions.
The improvements to the pages loading speed were made through the implementation of a new WebKit version and an updated JavaScript V8 engine, which will deliver a better browser performance in case of web pages highly loaded with JavaScript, even when a considerable number of tabs are opened.
There are a few key features introduced in Google Chrome 2.0.172.28 (stable version), such as the possibility to remove thumbnails from the new tab page, full screen mode (keyboard shortcut was assigned to the F11 key) and the form autofill browser capability.
Google Chrome is now available in fifty languages: “We added Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya (on Windows Vista only), Tamil, and Telugu in this release.”, stated Mark Larson, Google Chrome Program Manager in a post published on Google Chrome Releases blog.
If you have installed an older Google Chrome browser version, then the update process will be made automatically. For those of you than did not have installed Google Chrome yet, Google Chrome 2.0.172.28 is available for free download here.
