Twitter Rules: The Digg’s Shout Was Killed
Regular Digg users, maybe have employed many times the well known shout feature, which allowed the sending of on-site messages to friends. Now, if you already have noticed, this Digg feature is gone, but it was replaced with other communication methods, such as Twitter and Facebook. Are these communication methods more efficient than the initial Digg’s shout feature?

The elimination of Digg’s on-site shout feature might be inconvenient for many of you, because there are several disadvantages when a certain article has to be made popular.
For example, if you do not have a Twitter or a Facebook account, one must be created. Then the list of your friends existing in the Digg community must be constructed, but not all of them have an active Twitter or Facebook account. In addition, you will have to stay alerted in order to monitor their updates on Twitter or Facebook website.
Even more, certain friends of your Digg community do not have any contact data on their profile and as a consequence, they will do not know what was the last article you have made popular.
In conclusion, I propose you two simple methods of making the communication with your Digg friends more efficient: instant messaging or email, because, for example if you have 800 Digg friends and follow over 4000 Twitter users in the same time, is really hard to monitor the Digg members activity without the shouting feature.
