Adobe BrowserLab Checks Websites Cross-Browser Compatibility Instantly
The latest Adobe hosted web service, BrowserLab, was launched as a free preview for webmasters who want an instant report about a certain website compatibility across multiple web browsers. BrowserLab is a tool for testing websites compatibility with various web browsers, providing multiple viewing options and comparison tools, alongside highly customizable preferences.
The website screenshots are displayed in a single, side-by-side or as an overlay with variable transparency view. The zoom function, provided for every viewing option allows you to magnify the desired screenshot’s details.
From the Browser Sets area, you are allowed to choose a combination of browsers in which the compatibility of your website will be tested. The BrowserLab MXP extensions adds the web service to Dreamweaver CS4, in this way providing the possibility to perform local tests.
Adobe BrowserLab is compatible with the following web browsers and operating systems: Firefox 2.X and 3.X (Windows XP and Mac OS X), Internet Explorer 6.X and 7.X (Windows XP) and Safari 3.X (Mac OS X).
Adobe BrowserLab is an easy to use service and can be accessed from any computer connected to Internet (the user will need to have a valid Adobe ID). After a successful login to your account, just create a new Browser Sets and type the desired URL into the address bar situated at the top of the screen.
