Yahoo! Mail’s New Apps: PayPal, Zumo Drive, Picnik, OtherInbox and Photobucket
In December 2008 Yahoo! introduced the smarter inbox for Yahoo! Mail, which allows the immediate access to Flickr, Flixster and Xoopit third party applications. Now, Yahoo! Mail provides more tools to simplify the way of performing common tasks like file sharing or sending through email messages, edit or organize photos and send money online. The new Yahoo! Mail apps are: PayPal, Zumo Drive, Picnik, OtherInbox and Photobucket.
Practically, with these applications, you will not be forced to go on several useful Internet places from different windows or tabs: the necessary links are gathered in a single central location, right within Yahoo! Mail inbox.
For example, Picnik application allows you to process (crop, resize, add various effects) digital images and then to save them to your computer, share with friends on Flickr or Picasa or send the edited files through email to any contact from address book.
On the other hand, the addition of Zumo Drive in Yahoo! Email inbox will make easier for you to share and collaborate on large files, having up to 100 MB in size.
The new applications are located in the left side of the Yahoo! Mail inbox. But in order to be able to use these applications, first you will have to sign up here. The applications are freely available for Yahoo! Mail users in US. For the rest of the users, they will be gradually rolled out during the summer of 2009.
