Facebook Connect Is In YouTube
Maybe a long waited addition to the popular video sharing website YouTube, Facebook Connect is now available to all users. Through Facebook Connect, you will be able to automatically share the YouTube link of an uploaded video with your friends on Facebook. Facebook Connect, which delivers the capabilities of Facebook platform to any website, will play a key role in the increasing of YouTube videos transparency for a wider audience.
Josh Elman, on Facebook Developers blog explains how will Facebook Connect help you to automatically publish on your Facebook wall the links of the uploaded videos on YouTube: “We’re excited to share today that YouTube is the latest site to integrate with Facebook Connect. When logged into Facebook and YouTube, users can now automatically publish and share the videos they upload to YouTube directly to Facebook.“
After logging into your account, from the Video File Upload page on YouTube, you will have the possibility to connect with the Facebook, Twitter and Google Reader account, in order to share the latest video files uploaded on YouTube.
The uploads will be sent to the connected services after an initial processing, therefore a delay will always exists, while the videos having the private attribute will not be published.
YouTube represents only one of over 10,000 websites which added the Facebook Connect service as social networking feature. Recently, Microsoft informed that Xbox Live will also integrate Twitter and Facebook social networking services starting from this fall.
