Firefox Was Updated: Free Download Firefox 3.0.11
The popular web browser Firefox was updated to version 3.0.11. The new Firefox release solves many security and stability issues existing in version 3.0.10. In the same time several bugs were also fixed. Firefox 3.0.11 is available for free download for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X operating systems users.
Users who already have installed Firefox are encouraged to update their current browser version to the latest Firefox release: “We strongly recommend that all Firefox users upgrade to this latest release. If you already have Firefox 3, you will receive an automated update notification within 24 to 48 hours. This update can also be applied manually by selecting “Check for Updates…” from the Help menu.”
In Firefox 3.0.11 were fixed 9 security issues (4 critical, 2 moderate, 1 high and 2 low vulnerabilities):
-JavaScript chrome privilege escalation
-XUL scripts bypass content-policy checks
-Incorrect principal set for file: resources loaded via location bar
-Arbitrary code execution using event listeners attached to an element whose owner document is null
-Race condition while accessing the private data of a NPObject JS wrapper class object
-tampering via non-200 responses to proxy CONNECT requests
-Arbitrary domain cookie access by local file: resources
-spoofing with invalid unicode characters
-Crashes with evidence of memory corruption
