Persian Language Was Added To Google Translate
Persian (Farsi) language was just added to Google Translate service in replay to ongoing events in Iran. The service was optimized for translation only between Persian and English languages pair, but the Google Translate developers team will provide future improvements for all 40 languages included into the Google machine translation service.
In a recent post published on the Official Google Blog, Franz Och, Principal Scientist at Google explains the necessity of Farsi language inclusion into the Google Translate web based service: “We feel that launching Persian is particularly important now, given ongoing events in Iran. Like YouTube and other services, Google Translate is one more tool that Persian speakers can use to communicate directly to the world, and vice versa — increasing everyone’s access to information.”
Still in the alpha stage, you can freely use the Google Translate to perform translations between English and Farsi language and reverse, with a higher degree of accuracy as compared with the other 40 languages.
For the translation of a web page, documents (with the help of Google Translator Toolkit) or simple lines of text, just navigate to Google Translate web page, select the desired language pairs and only by hitting the Translate button, you will obtain the automatic translation of the desired text content.
